Switched Homes Ltd ("Switched Homes", "we", "us", "our") operates switchedhomes.co.nz and its related pages. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information, in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

When you submit an enquiry, request a quote, or use a tool on our site (such as a compatibility check or estimate), we collect:

• Your address or suburb
• Details about your home and existing systems relevant to your enquiry (for example, your current alarm brand, garage motor, or the services you're interested in)

How we store your information and who can access it

The enquiry information you submit is stored in our lead management and CRM platforms, Privyr and Zoho. These are secure third-party cloud services, and your information may be stored or processed on servers located outside New Zealand.

Only Switched Homes, and these service providers acting on our behalf, have access to your enquiry information.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share the details you submit through our forms with third parties for their own marketing.

We only disclose your information:

• To the service providers above who help us run our business (Privyr and Zoho), who are required to protect it
• Where we are required to by law

The cookies and tracking tools described above operate separately. They collect website usage data and share it with Meta and Google as part of how those tools work.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you
• Request access to that information
• Ask us to correct it if it is wrong

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No system is completely secure, but we use reputable platforms and limit who can access your information.

We keep your information for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry, provide our services, and meet our legal and business obligations. We may also keep your contact details to let you know about other smart home solutions and offers that may interest you.
